Clean Air Champion Joins Coalition

September 15, 2013

Washington, D.C.—The House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) is pleased to welcome Congressman Alan Lowenthal (CA-47) to its membership.

Rep. Lowenthal said of joining SEEC: “For more than 20 years, I have been fighting for the protection, preservation and rehabilitation of our environment. We have seen tremendous successes, but we have so much more to do. I am proud to join with my colleagues on the SEEC to continue this fight, which is not only critical to our future, but a necessity to the future of our children, our grandchildren, and all future generations.”

“SEEC welcomes a proven environmental leader, Congressman Alan Lowenthal,” said SEEC Co-Chair Rep. Paul Tonko (NY-20). “Congressman Lowenthal helped to lead efforts in California to reduce air pollution and create a better, cleaner future for our children. His voice will help SEEC lead the charge for clean air, clean energy, and action to address carbon pollution. We are glad to have him as a member.”

With the addition of Congressman Lowenthal, SEEC now has 55 members.
