House GOP Recycles Failed Energy Policy

September 18, 2014

Washington, D.C.—In response to House Republicans’ passage of already considered big oil energy bills, the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) issued the following statement:

“We are deeply disappointed that our Republican colleagues would waste what precious little time we have left by forcing the House to consider a package of already passed dirty energy bills. This package has no chance of becoming law. It simply amounts to yet another massive giveaway to the GOP’s polluter allies at the expense of the average American's health and well-being.

“While this package demonstrates that House Republicans are capable of recycling, it seems that, unfortunately, their recycling is limited to bad bill ideas.

“If House Republicans want to spur a true ‘energy revolution,’ we encourage them to join us in accelerating the clean energy revolution that is already producing good paying jobs here at home.”
