Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) hosted a roundtable with private sector companies that manufacture, deploy, and utilize clean energy to celebrate the Inflation Reduction Act’s (IRA) historic investments in America. Highlighting the urgency of finding innovative solutions to the worsening climate crisis during Climate Week, businesses from key sectors discussed how the IRA spurred historic private investments in the clean energy sector. In just one year, the IRA is already having tangible impacts on our families, local communities, and American leadership in the fight against the climate crisis.

Washington, D.C. – The Co-Chairs of the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) — Reps. Doris Matsui, Mike Quigley, and Paul Tonko — and SEEC Members Reps. Kathy Castor and Mike Levin, along with 95 of their colleagues, sent a letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael S. Regan urging him to finalize strong limits on carbon pollution from fossil-fuel fired power plants by early next year.

Suzanne Bonamici, Nikki Budzinski, and Mark DeSaulnier — along with four of the Task Force members, sent a letter to Secretary Granholm urging the Department of Energy (DOE) to incorporate the Good Jobs Principles as it implements the historic investments from the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
