Gerry Connolly, released the following statement in response to the finalization of the Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) new Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards for passenger vehicles model years 2027-2031 and light-duty trucks model years 2029-2031.

Kim Schrier, released a statement following a press conference with SEEC House Agriculture Committee members, farmers, and advocates who are working to protect the climate guardrails for the Inflation Reduction Act’s conservation investments in the upcoming Farm Bill negotiations.

Sean Casten (IL) and Mike Levin (CA), released the following statement after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) finalized its “Building for the Future Through Electric Regional Transmission Planning and Cost Allocation” rule.

Gerry Connolly, sent a letter to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director, Sandra Thompson, requesting that the agency require that homes receiving FHFA assistance meet modern energy efficiency building codes. Taking this step would align FHFA-assisted homes with the recent decision by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to adopt modern building codes.
